If a lumpectomy is chosen..is the breast deformed forever? are there choices in the future? or is a mastecomy the only route to insure a "normal" look and "cancer free" future?

I have recently been diagnosed with Breast Cancer and am faced with a lot of life altering and possibly saving options in a short period of time.
